Musik für die Seele

Sufi Summer Camp · 23rd July to 18th August 2018

“If one being or thing, however apparently useless, were missing in this universe of endless variety, it would be as it were a note missing in a song.”

Hazrat Inayat Khan

“Who am I? Why am I here? What should I do?” For all of us, the perennial search for answers to these questions shapes our life journey. At the Zenith Summer Camp, we dive deep into our inner life to answer these questions.

We know that each one of us has come to play our unique note and for 30 years we have been gathering in a place that allows us to step away from our everyday life and step towards the power of possibility to fully play that note.  Together we have been creating an open, safe and intimate space that enables us toremove the veils, which cover our hearts’ dreams and desires. Our teachers and guides work in unity with the peaceful majestic beauty of the mountains and Mother Nature, offering workshops and retreats that embody the qualities and express something of the spirit and love of the Sufis: service to the collective, the opening of the heart, living in the ecstasy of the moment, remembrance of our Oneness and the search of freedom.

Ours is a camp, which is filled with the laughter of children, the murmur of languages from around the world and the music that is made in the silence of our souls. We hope you will join us in the mountains!

Programme: 2018 Overview

Everyone who attends Camp contributes to its creation, so there are many ways you can participate. Before the seminar and workshops begin, we collectively build the sacred space where we practice by assembling the buildings and infrastructure. After camp ends, we take them apart, leaving the meadow as we found it. During camp, you may chose to take part in group seminars, group retreats, or a guided individual retreat. There is a camp within the camp for children and workshops for teenagers and young adults. You can participate for one week or all four weeks.

A typical day at the Camp includes early morning meditations and singing, morning and afternoon teaching sessions, additional workshops like yoga, singing, walking in the mountains and, an evening programme of zikr (“remembrance” – chanting) or sama’ (music, poetry, and spiritual dances).

We hope you’ll join us – each one of you is a note in our song.

“Freedom gives infinite power, it can move mountains.”
