INDIVIDUAL RETREAT
»All this talk and turmoil and noise and movement is outside the veil
inside the veil is silence and calm and peace.«Bayazid Bistami
An essential part of the Camp, what we call “the secret heart of the camp”, is our beautiful, sun-flooded and sheltered retreat-area. Here, in silence and in the presence of the magnificently beautiful nature exists the possibility to heal deeply and transform by undertaking a one to four weeks long individual retreat.
Every summer many guests at the camp consider going on an individual retreat as an integral part of their spiritual training. The individually guided retreat emphasizes personal transformation, and offers the retreatant an opportunity to immerse him or herself in silence, seclusion, contemplation, meditation and spiritual practice for a period of undistracted time.
However, the individual retreat is considered an advanced training, so it will be necessary to have approval beforehand and during the retreat the guidance of one of the retreat guides on our Staff. You will meet daily to receive practices to do during the day and have time to discuss questions which may arise during the retreat.
A retreat is not an escape from responsibilities, nor a cure-all to alter consciousness. It is a catalyst for change and meaningfulness and must be understood as an advanced form of spiritual training for which one needs to be properly prepared.
Again, if you have questions or concerns about this, please talk to one of our retreat guides!
The retreat guides on our staff are qualified guides, who have undergone extensive training in the retreat process of the sufic tradition and are familiar with all aspects of the retreat, physical, psychological or spiritual.
You will find a list of available retreat guides in the information tent upon your arrival at camp, and also here on this website.
>> Dear retreat guides of the Sufi Order: if you plan to come to the camp and guide retreatants we´d be pleased to add you to this list! Please let us know as soon as it is possible for you, when and for how long you plan to come and if we don´t have any informations of you yet, we need a foto of you as jpg, a short text that describes you, your dates, the languages you are able to conduct your retreats in and your contactadress, for people to make appointments beforehand with you. Please send to: staff@zenithinstitute.com
Retreat guides for our Camp in 2012 will be listed here as soon as we receive any information as to who and when they plan to be present in the Camp.

Heinz Espabad Kindl

I see retreats as the greatest opportunity to escape the everyday worries
of our mostly ego-based lives and have a chance to become conscious of the
other dimensions of our being.
Every retreat is new and different according to our inner needs for
unfoldment, nothing is or can be wasted and very important seeds are sawn
into the soil of our heart and soul that unfold in time.
My considerable experience has taught me that one usually has to struggle
against one’s conditioning and thought-patterns in the first part of the
retreat so that one can surrender to the calling of the beloved in the
latter part. Both parts are essential and cannot be bypassed.
As a retreat guide, I walk hand in hand with my charge without judging and
full of acceptance and awe at the meaningfulness of it all, privileged to
be able to be the midwife of the new birth.

Ishraq Hermann Stein
For many years, I have been a professional baker and economist, grown up and living in the bavarian alps.
When this settled life came to an end, my inward journey on the sufi path started, which I continue with a lot of enthusiasm. This way also a time of pilgrimage and many journeys in the outer world opened, that has enriched and matured my inner wealth of experiences.
I graduated Suluk Academy in 2011, in 2010 I became a retreatguide and 2009 conductor in the healing order and a cherag in the universal worship. Since April 2012 i am a representative of the SufiOrder International. It will be my honour and pleasure to accompany other seekers on their journey through a spiritual retreat.
I am also offering Suluk-Retreats for Graduates of the Suluktraining or who have finished the first year of the training.

Nurunnahar Ingrid Dengg
For me the retreat is a wonderful occasion to unite the two poles of our being - the small Ego which struggled a whole life long, which strived and suffered and never gave up. And the higher Self which connects us with the ground of our being, with God and our primordial vow, that stands at the beginning of our manifestation in life. The alchemical retreat is the vessel, and the trustful bond between retreatant and retreatguide the basis where this meeting of the two poles can take place. Thus the retreat process is the royal path to connect with the divine Beloved.
My teachers are Nigel Hamilton, Aziza Scott and Zumurrud Butta. I am the Zira'at representative for Austria, and in my civil life I work as a business journalist at a monthly magazine.
