Music is the Religion of the Future
with Uma Monica Lacombe
Week 1C 23.7. - 28.7.2012
In order to experience music and singing as a spiritual path and as a religion, we shall begin our journey into sound with the Temple Singing of ancient India to reach, in the end, the contemporary songs or ‘chansons’, meeting various traditions or religions on our way and singing with and for them.
On that journey, our soul will surely sing out in joy and love.

Uma Monica Lacombe
Already at an early age Uma Lacombe had a deep interest in yoga, which led her to undertake a journey to India to deepen theory and practice with the heirs of this philosophy. She spent two years in a Tibetan village in the Himalayas, where she was initiated into Chinese medicine. Uma has been studying dhrupad in India (where she has been living for more than 20 years) under different music masters. Uma has been an integral part of the Zenith Summer Camp teaching staff for many years. She also gives workshops on singing and offers concerts in India and Europe.
