Widening Our Circle of Belonging
A retreat to celebrate Oneness with Saki Lee
Week 4B 13.8.-18.8.2012
Humanity is a single organism. The pain of each part affects the whole.
- Hazrat Inayat Khan -
The enormous challenges our world is facing have roots in a spiritual poverty which arise from a loss in connectedness and belonging - to ourselves, each other, the natural world, our Earth community, and Divine Presence.
Our search for the sacred during difficult times will require that we attend to our own personal healing in order to take our rightful place within the larger unfolding story of the universe.
This retreat is dedicated to remembering and practicing sacred presence and the spirit of unity that will ground us in compassionate action for a new Earth vision.
Sacred songs, prayers, dances, contemplative silence and spiritual practices will support the strengthening of our own divine essence and inner wisdom so that seeds of peace, love, harmony and beauty can be planted for the benefit of all.
Some themes we shall explore during this week include:
• Personal and universal healing: an undivided heart and global oneness
• The dance between solitude and togetherness: two mutually enhancing poles of spiritual life
• The songs of the soul: celebrating beauty, sorrow, longing, passion and mystery.
• Love offerings: opening and sharing our gifts of Spirit
• Contemporary creativity: expressing and celebrating the dream of Earth
