According to the Trappist Monk Thomas Merton, the most important question in the spiritual life is "Are you free?", because infreedom we discover our true self. If only we knew what the potentials in our being are, we would realize that it's our ignorance of those potentials that limit us.In this retreat we will practice the steps we must take to discover our potentials and embrace and live out this freedom.

Mirza Inayat Khan
Mirza Inayat Khan has studied the mystical traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. He currently teaches religion in a Dominican school in northern California. Mirza is interested in making the esoteric teachings of the world religions meaningful and relevant to the lives of young people.

Deepa Patel
Deepa Patel is an engaging and experienced events manager and promoter, and cultural producer of media including an award-winning magazine for young people, and various music, photography and digital projects. She has a depth of experience in facilitating programmes and workshops around equal opportunities and diversity issues, and is an advocate for young people and all those struggling to have a voice in the world. She is a graduate of Suluk Academy and a board member for Seven Pillars.
